For years, a Winchester summer meant improvising. You knew about Town Day in June, you kept an ear out for something at Wright-Locke, and the rest of the week you drove to Arlington or Medford for dinner. The calendar was thin enough that most residents built their evenings around Boston commutes and a Saturday farmers market run.
This summer looks different, and the difference is not one big thing. It is three separate anchors landing on three separate weeknights, close enough together that a resident can plan Wednesday, Thursday, and a Friday dinner without leaving the 01890.

The Recreation Department's Summer Concerts on the Common series runs weekly on the Town Common, and the July and August 2026 lineup is set. Bring a chair or a blanket, walk from anywhere in the center, and you get a different genre every week:
